Artist statement

The world is one whole, one continuous movement. We see it as loose objects, but that is our thinking, not the world itself. Eastern wisdom says this. Physicists like David Bohm say it too. I research human experience: the tools we use to divide the world, and to confirm that division. The clock, the map, the word, the category.

My work moves the other way. So my works are tools too, but tools to enter the whole. Performances, sound works, objects in wood, wool, peat, clay and beeswax. And a digital archive, where items keep appearing in new combinations. Meaning does not sit in the items. It arises between them, in their relations.
